3. I LOVE my cats, of which I have 2.
4. I love my cats so much, I named my site(s) after my "queen kitty", Scrub.
5. I'm happily (most of the time LOL) married since 1989 to my sweety, Frank. I'm 6 years older than him:)
6. We have a his-hers-ours family; 3 daughters, the youngest of which is OURS.
7. My daughters are now ages 27, 23 and 15.
8. I am a VERY proud grandmother, i.e. "granny", of a beautiful 3-year old little girl.
9. Until 2002, I ran a medical transcription business from home.
10. I've been in the "medical field" since age 18, first as a secretary x20 years,
then as a medical transcriptionist x10 years.
11. In 2002, my beloved mother died from terminal brain cancer.
12. In 2005, my beloved only sister died from pneumonia/blood clots.
13. My sister also had Down's Syndrome.
14. In 2001, my beloved only brother died from complications after a stroke and diabetes.
15. In 1974, my daddy passed away at the age of 70. He was a World War I veteran!!
16. I am now truly an "orphan"; my only family being that of hubby,daughters and grand-daughter.
17. I am BLESSED however with wonderful online friends who are INDEED my "second family".
18. When I was 21, I took belly-dancing lessons for 2 years.
19. When I was 22, I took guitar lessons for 3 months LOL.
20. When I was 20, I took ballet and tap-dancing lessons for 6 months.
21. When I was 22, I took scuba-diving lessons and PASSED my pool test.
22. Never got certified for "open-water" however.
23. I was born in Southern California where I lived until I was 8 years old.
24. I must have been born with "salt water in my veins" because I will forever love the ocean!
25. I "grew up" in a Southern Baptist church just down the street from my then and now present home.
26. I sang in the church choir as a soprano.
27. I taught Sunday School at the age of 19 to a bunch of 11-year old
little girls who are now grown women (and probably grandmothers too) *smiles*.
28. I attended my 20-year highschool reunion 9 months pregnant with
youngest daughter. I delivered 3 days later. I was 38 at the time.
29. I was 26 when my oldest daughter was born.
30. I raised my oldest daughter by myself (and with Mama's help) until she was almost 9 years old.
31. When she was 9 years old, I married my now present (and only) hubby in 1989.
32. We married in August 1989; in October 1989 I miscarried our son, Jesse Dwayne.
33. I was only 8 weeks pregnant but know in my heart it was our son.
34. I got pregnant "right after" we got married, thank-you very much LOL :) and not before.
35. After MUCH trying and many tears, I finally conceived again in January of 1991.
36. Our Katie, i.e. Caitlin Sue, was born in September of 1991.
37. Our other 2 daughters ALSO have birthdays in September.
38. My birthday is April 29th and hubby's birthday is March 8th.
39. OUR granddaughter's, Aradia Cheyanne, birthday is February 27th, 2003.
40. Aradia and her mommy lived with us until Thanksgiving this year.
41. I had been the primary caretaker of Aradia since the day she came home from hospital.
42. I sure DO miss my granddaughter!! Her mommy moved them to Tennessee, 4 hours away *sniffle*.
43. I LOVE PSP, mainly pixeling.
44. I belong to MANY pixel groups/memberships.
45. You'd think I would have actually learned something by now LOL.
46. In June of 2006, I FINALLY opened my graphics/tag shop!!
47. It goes by the name of Scrub's Scribblings LOL.
48. I LOVE changing the look of Scrub's House & Scrub's Scribblings constantly LOL :)
49. I LOVE all my friends, both online and in "reality".
50. Where do I live? Why in the Heart of Dixie of course, i.e. Alabama!
51. When I was 39, right before my youngest daughter's 1st birthday, I had to have
emergency surgery to remove a brain tumor.
52. I still suffer with "deficits" from the brain tumor; i.e. no "motor control" of my right leg.
53. But....THANK GOD...the tumor was NOT cancerous!
54. In the summer of 2006, I was diagnosed with MS; i.e., multiple sclerosis.
55. At this point, however, it is not the REALLY bad kind for which I am thankful!
56. I have a few other minor medical problems, high blood pressure for one; but all are under control.
57. When HUBBY was only 41, he suffered a heart attack and had to have emergency stent placement.
58. Hubby is also borderline diabetic and being the "candy lover" that he is, it is hard to make him eat right!!
59. Dearest Hubby is a union sheet-metal worker by trade.
60. Hubby's oldest brother died at age 36 of esophageal cancer 13 years ago.
61. Hubby's youngest brother died at age 36 of complications from diabetes 4 years ago.
62. Hubby still has his only sister and one brother left to "pester him" LOL.
63. Hubby is also blessed to still have both parents alive:)
64. I LOVE my precious in-laws!
65. Have asked hubby to have me cremated when I die and then go to Destin, Florida; take a boat trip and then
"fling my ashes" into my beloved Gulf of Mexico.
66. And definitely not the least of which...I LOVE JESUS and am proud of it!
67. Without Him in my life these many many years, this old granny would definitely not be here to proudly call herself a granny!
